Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share the gospel with public school students in a LifeWise classroom. The role requires active church involvement, solid communication, and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching children.

You will complete certification within 30 days, participate in annual LifeWise Summit, and maintain accurate attendance and rosters while building relationships with students and volunteers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of start date and annual LifeWise Summit
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and build relationships with students
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters, and prepare information for substitutes
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and manage emergency procedures
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and program director; promote LifeWise's mission
