Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dedicated teacher to share biblical teaching with churched and unchurched public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching children.

The role requires complete training, ongoing growth, and faithful implementation of LifeWise curriculum in a supportive, faith-driven classroom.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active church involvement aligned with LifeWise's 'What We Believe' doctrine.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and customize as needed.
• Invest in relationships with students and pray for them regularly.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging classroom with redemptive discipline.
• Take attendance and maintain class rosters and materials for substitutes.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and manage supplies.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador and participate in outreach events.
• Communicate with school staff and volunteers; report updates and photos to director.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in duties and interactions.
