Job summary

University of Nebraska Medical Center seeks a Graduate Medical Education coordinator to manage a standalone residency program with 20+ house officers. You will lead meeting and travel arrangements, coordinate administrative tasks, and ensure alignment with accreditation requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to work independently within a hospital setting. On-site schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:30PM.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required.
  • 5 years increasingly responsible administrative support and/or educator experience in graduate medical education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate meetings, travel, and events for the program.
  • Prepare, analyze and summarize complex reports for accreditation.
  • Oversee program budget and fiscal management.

Position Summary

Graduate Medical Education

  • Primary coordinator of one stand-alone residency program (1 or no ACGME accredited subspecialties) with 20 or more house officers and absence of an education administrator.
Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks; sees connections between routines and how they relate to other procedures; knows where to seek answers and independently researches solutions to questions; anticipates challenges/questions before they occur and offers solutions; as well as knows broad and comprehensive of policies, procedures and systems. Composes correspondence requiring knowledge of related matters including accreditation requirements; coordinates and leads arrangements for meetings, events, conferences, and house office and program director travel; prepares, analyzes and summarizes complex reports; and provides Intermediate budget oversight.
