Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Program Coordinator I to manage day-to-day administration of Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine-based Fellowships, and support the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The role partners with the Program Director and GME leadership to ensure educational quality and ongoing regulatory compliance.

The coordinator serves as a liaison among program leaders, fellows, GME Office, and sites, coordinating curricula, evaluations, and accreditation activities while promoting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience working in a Graduate Medical Education environment preferred.
• TAGME Certification preferred.
• Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
• Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates educational activities (e.g., didactic conference schedule, Grand Rounds) that support the Fellowship Program's curriculum and adhere to ACGME requirements.
• Provides guidance to residents/fellows on program and GME policies, and non-clinical aspects of the program.
• Coordinates creation, dissemination and monitoring of annual Fellowship rotation, clinic and call schedules; updates schedules periodically to maintain accuracy.
• Assists with same for the IM Residency Coordinates creation, dissemination and monitoring of resident/fellow, faculty, and program evaluations.
• Coordinates and/or supports accreditation activities - ACGME Site Visits, Internal Reviews, annual program reviews, etc. as needed.
• Manages Fellowship duty hour reports and supports reporting compliance; assists with same for the IM Residency. Assists in supporting compliance to GME policies and procedures and related departmental policies.
• Coordinates fellow recruitment and selection process and assists with same for the IM Residency.
• Assists the PD and faculty in planning, developing, and implementing residency/fellowship program quality improvement activities
