Job summary

Mercyhealth in Loves Park, IL, seeks a GME Program Coordinator to support Fellowship and IM Residency activities. The role coordinates educational events, schedules, and evaluations to ensure compliance with ACGME requirements.

The person guides residents and faculty on program policies, assists with accreditation processes, and supports duty hour reporting and quality improvement initiatives within Mercyhealth's Graduate Medical Education programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in a Graduate Medical Education (GME) environment preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate educational activities for the Fellowship Program (e.g., didactic conferences, Grand Rounds) to meet ACGME requirements.
• Provide guidance to residents/fellows on program and GME policies, and non-clinical aspects of the program.
• Coordinate creation and monitoring of rotation, clinic and call schedules; update periodically for accuracy.
• Assist with resident/fellow, faculty, and program evaluations; support accreditation activities (Site Visits, Internal Reviews, program reviews).
• Manage duty hour reports and support reporting compliance; assist with IM Residency activities.
• Support recruitment and selection processes for the Fellowship and IM Residency; assist in quality improvement planning.
