Job summary

Mercyhealth seeks a Program Coordinator I to manage day-to-day GME activities for Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine-based fellowships and residency programs in Rockford, IL. The role supports the Program Director, ensures compliance with ACGME standards, and liaises with fellows, sites, and departments.

The ideal candidate assists with accreditation activities, rotation and evaluation processes, and program quality improvements while upholding Mercyhealth's culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred.
• Experience in Graduate Medical Education environment preferred.
• Certification in TAGME preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate educational activities (didactic conference schedule, Grand Rounds) to support the Fellowship curriculum and ACGME requirements.
• Provide guidance on GME policies and non-clinical program aspects to residents/fellows.
• Coordinate and monitor rotation, clinic and call schedules for fellows and residents; assist with evaluations.
