Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior leader to head global PBP and ER functions. As a member of the People Leadership Team, you will partner with the CPO and XLT to shape enterprise talent strategy and operating model. This is a remote-first, USA-wide role with occasional office presence.

You will build high-performing teams, guide executive-level investigations, align workforce planning with business goals, and drive organizational change with integrity and strategic judgment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive People leadership experience in global technology organizations.
• Significant experience leading a global PBP organization and high-performing teams.
• Experience leading Employee Relations, incl. investigations and executive-level matters with Legal.
• Direct partnership with C-suite executives, building trust with independent judgment.
• Deep expertise in organizational consulting, effectiveness, coaching, and workforce planning.
• Strong business acumen and rapid understanding of complex businesses.
• Sharp talent judgment for executive capability and critical decisions.
• Ability to anticipate org and workforce risks and opportunities across the business.
• Excellent executive presence and emotional intelligence for difficult conversations.
• Sound judgment balancing business needs, employee impact, and risk.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, structure, and operating model for global PBP and ER functions.
• Build high-performing PBP and ER teams with clear standards and accountability.
• Serve as strategic advisor to XLT on enterprise-wide leadership and talent decisions.
• Understand affirm's business and workforce implications ahead of need.
• Partner with XLT on workforce strategy, deployment, and capability needs.
• Design orgs and operating models to improve accountability and speed.
• Raise leadership quality through talent planning and executive assessment.
• Guide leaders through significant organizational change and execution discipline.
• Set strategy and operation for Employee Relations globally; ensure consistency.
• Provide oversight on complex ER matters, including investigations and conduct.
• Use ER data to identify risks and translate into proactive actions.
• Collaborate with Legal on employment practices, policy, and risk management.
