Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Global Turnaround Scheduler SME in the Gulf Coast region to provide expert scheduling across large-scale turnarounds.

You will guide front-end loading, governance, and execution readiness, partnering with site teams and senior stakeholders to ensure consistent, safe, and cost-efficient outcomes. The role emphasizes strong leadership, coaching, and network-building among schedulers, with a focus on performance oversight, risk-based decisions, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree +5 years of relevant experience OR 10 years experience in turnaround execution and project controls.
• Deep knowledge of Primavera, Scheduling software and turnaround work processes.
• Previous experience serving as a master scheduler in a major turnaround is preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% annually.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern Dow's global turnaround scheduling operating discipline, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, work processes, and governance requirements.
• Provide scheduling leadership and support to turnaround teams, particularly for major turnaround events ($30MM+), to improve readiness and execution performance.
• Assess turnaround compliance, readiness, and health throughout FEL and execution phases, identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead and participate in readiness reviews, challenge sessions, and gate reviews to ensure critical deliverables and milestones are achieved before execution.
• Develop recommendations and drive actions to address readiness deficiencies, reduce risk, and improve turnaround outcomes.
• Own the global turnaround scheduler qualification curriculum, supporting training, coaching, mentoring, and scheduler development activities.
• Lead global scheduler networks, promote best practices, and serve as a trusted advisor to turnaround teams throughout the turnaround lifecycle.
• Support turnaround execution by monitoring performance, applying PERA-based risk management principles, resolving critical issues, and enabling decisions that support safety, schedule, cost, quality, and reliability objectives.
• Capture and incorporate lessons learned while driving continuous improvement, standardization, and operational discipline across Dow turnaround processes and governance practices.
• Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies, AI-enabled solutions, benchmarking efforts, and industry best practices to advance turnaround scheduling capability and performance across Dow.
