Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Customer Service Agent to interact with customers in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. Starting pay is $20.23 per hour. Responsibilities include issuing and refunding tickets, booking reservations, rebooking oversold flights, and assisting with check-in and boarding.

The role requires minimum qualifications such as a high school diploma, bilingual skills in some locations, and compliance with FAA background checks and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Bilingual language skills required in some locations.
• Applicable valid driver’s license as required by local authorities.
• FAA criminal background checks for unescorted access to SIDA.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Issue, reissue and refund passenger tickets.
• Book, ticket and confirm flight reservations.
• Rebook passengers on oversold flights and during irregular operations.
• Perform passenger check-in and passenger seat assignment (except curbside).
• Assist passengers with special accommodations and unaccompanied minors.
• Provide gate information and boarding assistance to passengers.
