Job summary
Marqeta seeks a VP, Total Rewards to shape and execute our global total rewards strategy, leading Compensation and Benefits with guidance to senior leadership and the Board. The role interfaces with the Compensation Committee and partners with Legal, Finance, and People teams to ensure ethics and compliance.
We offer Flexible First work arrangements, allowing remote work anywhere in the United States or from Oakland.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation, and benefits management.
- Experience designing and implementing global compensation and benefits programs in tech companies.
- Strong understanding of executive compensation principles and board interactions.
- Strategic mindset with ability to translate business objectives into rewards strategy.
- Hands-on approach with willingness to dive into details and maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Lead global total rewards strategy and expansion across regions.
- Design and administer base pay, variable pay, and equity programs.
- Oversee benefits programs ensuring competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Benchmark and analyze programs to stay competitive and support talent goals.
- Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure regulatory compliance and governance.
- Provide guidance to Executive Leadership and Compensation Committee.
- Ensure EEO/AA compliance and equity/diversity worldwide.
- Drive innovation in rewards programs leveraging technology.
- Coach and develop a high-performing compensation and benefits team.
