Job summary

Cogent Communications seeks an experienced B2B sales professional in Vienna, VA to identify and pursue new business opportunities across IP Transit and carrier markets. You will engage Key Decision Makers via calls and meetings, positioning Cogent’s global network footprint to win connectivity solutions.

With 3–8+ years in telecom B2B sales, you’ll benefit from a structured tenure-based pay increases and uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of B2B telecom sales in a tier-1/wholesale environment with data transit experience.
• Proven track record of direct hunting, new business generation and meeting quotas.
• Strong communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced team with revenue deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed regional/global sales territory across IP Transit, carriers, and Netcentric markets.
• Qualify and generate opportunities through direct calling, email, and contact efforts with Key Decision Makers.
• Supplement prospecting with onsite customer meetings as needed; position Cogent services for new connectivity solutions.
