Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking a seasoned B2B sales professional to drive growth in telecom markets. You will hunt for new opportunities, qualify prospects, and engage with Key Decision Makers to sell IP Transit and wholesale connectivity solutions.

This in-office role in Detroit requires 3–8+ years of experience, a track record of quota attainment, and strong communication skills. College degree preferred. Cogent offers a full benefits package and uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of solid, B2B sales experience in telecom with collocation/wholesale.
• Proven hunter with quota attainment and ability to qualify opportunities.
• Strong written and oral communication; CRM experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory.
• Prospect via direct calling, email, and meetings with Key Decision Makers.
• Supplement prospecting with onsite customer meetings as needed.
• Position services leveraging Cogent’s global network footprint.
