Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking an in-office Regional Sales professional to identify and win new business in the IP transit and data services space. You will prospect via calls and emails, meet with decision makers, and leverage Cogent's global network footprint to position our connectivity solutions.

The role requires 3–8+ years in telecom B2B sales, a proven hunting mindset, and strong communication skills. A degree is preferred but not required, with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of solid B2B sales experience in telecom with collocation and data transit.
• Proven hunter with quota achievement and direct selling experience.
• Strong oral and written communication and CRM familiarity.
• College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed regional/global sales territory.
• Qualify and generate opportunities via direct calling, email and meetings with key decision makers.
• Complement sales efforts with onsite customer meetings as needed.
• Position services leveraging Cogent's global network footprint to win new business.
