Job summary

Cogent Communications in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking an experienced Regional Sales professional to identify and win new business in IP Transit, wholesale, and data center markets.

You will hunt and qualify opportunities, engage decision makers via calls and emails, conduct onsite meetings as needed, and help customers leverage Cogent's global network footprint for scalable connectivity solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of solid B2B telecom sales experience with collocation, wholesale, and data transit.
• Proven hunter mindset with quota attainment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a Regional Sales Territory and target IP Transit, content providers, carriers, and netcentric firms.
• Prospect via direct calling, email, and meetings to qualify and generate opportunities with key decision makers.
• Support prospects with onsite customer meetings as needed and leverage Cogent's global network footprint.
