Job summary

Cogent Communications in Boston is seeking a results-driven Regional Sales professional to identify and win new business in IP Transit, carriers and content providers across a global market.

This in-office role is five days a week, with a structured pay plan featuring base salary ranges, uncapped commissions and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, life and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of B2B sales in telecom with data transit and colocation.
• Track record of hunting new business and meeting quotas.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with prospecting and CRM systems helpful.
• College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new opportunities in a regional/global sales territory (IP Transit, carriers, content providers).
• Qualify and generate opportunities through calls, emails, and meetings with decision-makers.
• Supplement prospecting with onsite customer visits as needed.
• Use consultative sales to position connectivity solutions across Cogent's footprint.
• Support customers using the global network and data center capabilities.
