Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Systems and Operations Manager to lead the Systems Administration team and advance Infrastructure, Middleware, and DevOps capabilities across environments and services. You will collaborate with Client Support, Product Development, and shared services to deliver secure and reliable operations.

The role emphasizes managing incidents, driving RCAs, and implementing standards-based tooling and processes with a focus on risk reduction and scalable delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience including 3+ years in technology management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the team's workload to maintain stability and security.
• Act as key point-of-contact for planning and delivery of client requirements.
• Apply deep technical understanding of the full tech stack for problem-solving and planning.
• Serve as escalation point for technical incidents; act as incident commander when needed.
• Oversee timely RCAs and ensure resulting actions are completed.
• Collaborate with Enterprise shared service teams to adopt best practices across services.
• Interpret and plan adoption of Technology and Security standards as published and evolved.
• Manage risk through remediation plans and proactive measures.
• Introduce standards-based tooling, processes, and practices for infra and deployment.
• Lead delivery of larger projects within team scope.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster customer service and high performance.
• Direct priorities and oversee offshore/contract resources.
