Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Systems and Operations Manager to lead the Infrastructure, Middleware and DevOps functions within the Systems Administration team. You will oversee operations, security and compliance across environments, partnering with Client Support, Product Development and shared services to deliver reliable global payment services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in related field is required
• Total of about 8+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in technology management

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the team's workload to maintain stability and security.
• Act as the key planning and delivery contact for client requirements.
• Apply strong technical acumen to understand the full tech stack and support problem-solving.
• Serve as escalation point for technical incidents and act as incident commander when needed.
• Oversee timely production RCAs and close actions within responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Enterprise shared services to adopt best-practice service management.
• Interpret and adopt Technology and Security standards as published and evolved.
• Develop and execute remediation plans to reduce risk across environments and services.
• Introduce standards-based tooling, processes, and practices for infrastructure and deployment.
• Lead delivery of larger projects within the team's scope.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster a customer-service culture.
• Direct offshore and contract resources to priorities and execution.
