Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Systems and Operations Manager to oversee the Infrastructure, Middleware and DevOps functions across environments and services, partnering with Client Support, Product Development and shared services.

You will plan BAU workloads, coordinate client requirements, and apply deep technical knowledge to drive problem solving and planning. You will mentor the team, manage incidents (including RCAs) and drive permanent remediation plans, while aligning with enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field, or relevant experience.
• Typically a minimum of 8 years related professional experience including 3 years in technology management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the team’s business-as-usual workload to ensure high quality and efficient execution that maintains stability and security.
• Act as key point-of-contact for the planning and delivery of client requirements.
• Use strong technical acumen to understand the full tech stack and contribute to problem-solving, troubleshooting and planning.
• Act as an escalation point for Technical Incidents and serve as Incident Commander when needed to minimize customer impact.
• Oversee timely RCAs and ensure resulting actions are delivered within scope.
• Integrate to best-practice Service Management with enterprise shared service teams.
• Interpret and plan adoption of Technology and Security standards as published.
• Manage risk and develop permanent remediation plans for environments and services.
• Introduce standards-based tooling and practices for infrastructure and deployment, participating in enterprise initiatives.
• Lead delivery of larger projects within team scope.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster a customer-focused, high-performance culture.
• Direct priorities and oversee offshore/contract resources.
