Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Systems and Operations Manager to lead the Systems Administration team, overseeing Infrastructure, Middleware, and DevOps to support operations, delivery, security, and compliance across environments and services.

You will steer BAU workloads, coordinate with stakeholders, and mentor staff while guiding offshore resources and driving improvements across the tech stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience may be considered.
• Typically a minimum of 8 years related professional experience, including at least 3 years in a technology management role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the team's workload to ensure high quality and secure operations.
• Act as key contact for planning and delivery of client requirements.
• Apply deep technical understanding of the full tech stack to inform problem-solving and planning.
• Serve as escalation point for technical incidents and act as Incident Commander when needed.
• Oversee timely RCAs and drive remediation actions within responsibilities.
• Collaborate with enterprise shared services to adopt best-practice service management.
• Interpret and plan adoption of technology and security standards as published.
• Manage risk through thoughtful remediation plans and permanent fixes.
• Introduce standards-based tooling and processes for infrastructure and deployment.
• Lead delivery of larger projects within the team's scope.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster customer service and high performance.
• Oversee priorities and execution for offshore and contract resources.
