Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead global production engineering for merchant services across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. You will drive reliability, governance, and portfolio health, aligning service owners with business outcomes.

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, compliant infrastructure, and mature the end-to-end service health with measurable automation and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong fundamentals in programming or scripting; APIs, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience designing and operating distributed production systems in regulated environments.
• Experience applying SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, observability, automation.
• Experience on-call operations, incident response, RCA, change management, and durable remediation.

Responsibilities

• Set global site reliability strategy and ensure compliance with standards across regions.
• Own portfolio metrics, governance, and executive reporting to align service priorities.
• Lead incident governance, credible impact assessments, and durable remediation actions.
• Oversee controls and evidence for security, patching, vulnerabilities, and regulatory commitments.
• Champion automation and toil reduction; manage AI-assisted workflows with safety controls.
• Align product, development, and SRE teams through clear agreements and dependency management.
• Develop talent and lead a high-performing, diverse organization with strong executive updates.
