Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is a global leader supplying aircraft quality raw material products to the aerospace industry. The role manages all outbound shipments, coordinates with carriers, obtains quotes, and ensures ITAR compliance.

You will track international shipments, prepare shipping documents, and resolve issues to ensure on-time delivery. On-site US position with comprehensive benefits and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Solid math skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of UPS and FedEx software.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Understanding of ITAR and government regulations preferred.
• Experience in tracking international shipments is a plus.
• Forklift/Side-loader Certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages all administrative logistical details for outbound shipments.
• Coordinates with carriers and freight forwarders for domestic and international shipments.
• Obtains quotes and selects freight vendors.
• Liaises with internal/external contacts on shipments.
• Investigates and resolves shipping or paperwork issues.
• Prepares documents like invoices and bills of lading.
• Ensures accuracy of shipments and packaging for timely deliveries.
• Maintains ITAR compliance and government regulations.
• Ships via FedEx and UPS and tracks shipments weekly.
• Files freight claims for damaged goods and resolves disputes.
