Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented logistics administrator to manage outbound shipments with carriers and the internal Fleet.

You will coordinate quotes, select vendors for freight forwarding, and ensure accurate shipping documents while maintaining ITAR compliance and on-time deliveries. The role requires proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel, strong math, and solid communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong math skills and numerical accuracy required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with UPS and FedEx software is a plus.
• ITAR compliance knowledge preferred.
• Experience tracking international shipments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage all administrative logistical details for outbound shipments.
• Coordinate quotes and vendor selection for freight and forwarding.
• Liaise with internal and external contacts to ensure shipment accuracy.
• Prepare and review shipping documents (invoices, bills of lading).
• Ensure shipments comply with ITAR and regulations.
• Monitor and resolve shipment issues and claims.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
