Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Logistics Administrator to manage outbound shipments with domestic and international carriers. You will coordinate quotes, paperwork, and vendor selections to ensure timely delivery while maintaining ITAR compliance and shipment integrity.

The role requires strong Excel, communication, and problem-solving skills, with 1–2 years of related experience. Work location is Rialto, CA, on-site, with a pay range of USD 18.00–22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Solid math skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of UPS and FedEx software.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Understanding of ITAR and government regulations preferred.
• Experience in tracking international shipments is a plus.
• Forklift/Side-loader Certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass drug and background.
• 1-2 Years of related experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all administrative logistical details for all outbound shipments processed by outside carriers and internal Fleet.
• Obtain quotes and select vendors for freight and freight forwarding services.
• Coordinate with Internal and External contacts on shipments.
• Investigate and resolve customers issues pertaining to shipping or paperwork.
• Examine, prepare and administer documents such as invoices, bills of lading and shipping statements.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of shipments and packaging to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain compliance with ITAR and other governmental regulations.
• Shipping material by FedEx and UPS.
• File all freight claims for damaged goods and tracks them on a weekly basis. Resolves disputes.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
