Job summary

Lam Research in Austin, TX is seeking a Global Product Support Engineer to backfield engineers, technicians, and product support staff with on-site repair, installation, and diagnostic services for complex semiconductor equipment. You will troubleshoot at the component level, perform start-ups and relocations, and collaborate across teams while traveling frequently to customer sites.

The role demands hands-on problem solving, strong attention to detail, safety focus, and a proactive service

Qualifications

• Related experience with a Bachelor's degree at minimum; or higher degrees with related experience.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical schematics and diagrams.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair and maintenance service of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Analytical troubleshooting of technical problems to component level.
• Perform complete installation/start-up services including relocations.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and minimize downtime.
• Installations/relocations at customers' sites; coordinate with customers.
• Stay up to date on equipment/tools through training and manuals.
• Plan, manage, and execute projects of a limited scope and duration.
