Job summary

Lam Research in Austin, TX seeks a Global Product Support Engineer to act as the backbone of technical support for field engineers and product teams. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug complex semiconductor equipment with high responsiveness to customer needs.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, travel 75% or more, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience; or 3+ years with Master’s; or PhD with no experience.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics and diagrams.
• Proficient in interpreting operation manuals to identify root causes of tool failures.
• Willingness to travel frequently (>75%).
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Perform analytical troubleshooting to component level.
• Troubleshoot equipment and conduct diagnostic procedures to minimize downtime.
• Installations and relocations of equipment at customer sites.
• Maintain records and coordinate activities with supervisors and customers.
• Plan and execute projects of limited scope and duration.
