Job summary

TMF Group in Miami is seeking a Payroll Tax Administrator to manage multi-state payroll tax compliance with ADP. You will review payroll data, file federal and state returns, monitor deposits, and respond to tax notices while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires 3+ years of payroll tax experience across states, strong communication, and collaboration with clients and payroll teams. You will help maintain W-4 changes, prepare reports, and stay current with regulatory updates.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment across areas.
• Reconiles payroll taxes to the general ledger and prepares journal entries.
• Reconciles Payroll reports to 941s, W-2s, and 1099Ms as needed.
• Researches and resolves tax notices/discrepancies to mitigate penalties and interest.
• 3+ years of comprehensive multi-state/multi-company payroll tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, payroll tax, and related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and analyze payroll information; ensure ADP files federal/state/local tax returns.
• Ensure payroll tax deposits and returns are compliant with tax laws.
• Research and file state-specific tax assessments; monitor quarterly/annual payments.
• Maintain W-4 changes for Federal and State taxes.
• Research and collect data for tax authorities during inquiries, audits, and appeals.
• Produce reports to prevent/detect tax issues affecting payroll.
• Load payroll tax notices into ADP and coordinate with agencies.
