Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Senior Manager of Payroll Compliance/Operations to oversee complex, international and multi-state payroll. You will lead a team of about 10 payroll professionals and partner with HR, Finance, and Internal Audit to ensure SOX-compliant, accurate payroll processing across the organization.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or Business Administration; master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience including multi-state and international operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing payroll teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of international and multi-state payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Ensures payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversees payroll activities including earnings, deductions, taxation, garnishments, benefits, direct deposits, and year-end processing.
• Manages payroll calendars, processing schedules, quality controls, and service level expectations.
• Reviews payroll audits, exception reports, reconciliations, and data validation processes.
