Genuine Parts Company seeks a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll for U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service.

You will lead a team including Payroll, Garnishment, Tax, and Banking Specialists in a high-volume service center, driving process improvements and staff development.

The ideal candidate combines payroll administration, accounting, and people management experience and will contribute to strategic goals as part of the Employee Service Center Management Team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience processing payroll.
• Three+ years prior experience leading teams.
• Demonstrated skills in leading and developing large payroll teams of ten+ employees.
• Prior experience with HR/Payroll ERP, time and general ledger systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and tax practices and compliance.
• Experience with HR administration and general HR functions.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor compliance laws (FLSA, FMLA).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exposure to HR/case management technologies.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and membership in a payroll organization is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems for timely, accurate payroll transactions.
• Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems, and procedures.
• Develops staff through time and attendance management, coaching, and training.
• Drives process improvements and team involvement in improvements.
• Ensures accurate payroll updates for hires, terminations, and pay-rate changes.
• Prepares and maintains payroll records and reports.
• Monitors legal and regulatory requirements related to payroll.
• Liaises with auditors and manages payroll-related audits.
• Manages performance through goal setting and feedback.
• Coordinates team projects and delegates tasks for results.
• Maintains confidentiality of payroll information.
• Collaborates with Finance and HR for reporting and GL.
