Job summary

Brex is seeking a Manager, Banking Operations in a hybrid Salt Lake City role. You will lead a team responsible for money movement, monitoring across Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks, and stablecoins, and partner with product, engineering, compliance, and external banking partners to ensure fast, accurate, and compliant operations.

You’ll build scalable workflows, coach analysts, and drive AI-enabled improvements to speed and control while maintaining strong risk and audit standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in banking operations or related regulated financial services with hands-on money movement and audit readiness.
• 2+ years of direct people management experience coaching and building accountable teams.
• Fluency with AI tools (Claude, Hex, Granola, Glean) and applying AI to improve team effectiveness and scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Banking Operations team by setting priorities and coaching performance with a high-accountability culture.
• Oversee payment monitoring across Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks and stablecoins with risk-based decisions.
• Build scalable operating frameworks for onboarding, QA, escalation management, and coverage planning.
• Advance Brex’s AI-native goals by identifying high-impact use cases and enabling tool adoption.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering and banking partners to ensure controls and readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement by root-cause analysis and automation to increase throughput with control.
• Translate frontline insights into reporting and leadership-ready updates on trends and gaps.
