Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Patient Care Coordinator for Global Services to support international patients and families from inquiry to repatriation. The role requires language proficiency, exceptional customer service, and coordination across admissions, appointments, and payers.

You will work with clinical teams, manage patient data in CRM systems, provide updates to families, and assist with logistics and communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years coordination experience and 2 years customer service experience.
• 1 year experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• Fluency in English and additional languages required (Arabic, Spanish, Hebrew or Mandarin).
• Proficient in data management, medical terminology, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for international patients and families throughout their interaction with the hospital.
• Manage patient care activities and escalate complex inquiries.
• Lead multidisciplinary assessment for inquiries including self-pay and embassy-sponsored patients.
• Communicate clinical needs, denials, and high-risk cases with care teams to minimize financial risk.
• Provide regular updates to patients and families, including follow-up plans and reports.
• Handle patient and family logistics such as accommodations and transportation.
• Maintain accurate patient data in CRM and systems for reporting.
