Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Engineer, ENS Strategic Lead to drive cross‑functional, high‑impact infrastructure programs in a fast‑moving environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in global network or infrastructure operations, deployment, design/engineering and/or support teams.
• Experience with large-scale quality assurance across logical and physical delivery.
• 5+ years partnering with vendors to translate performance issues into improvements.
• Experience leading operational teams and translating strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Collaborating across a global team and cross-functional partners at all levels.
• Experience identifying metrics/SLA/KPI to evaluate impact.
• Experience with end-to-end supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Knowledge of Python, Go or JavaScript with ability to leverage AI tools with development teams.

Responsibilities

• Execution Enablement: develop execution plans and guardrails, structure teams for delivery.
• Project Leadership: lead cross-functional infrastructure projects covering data centres, production networks, and more.
• Roadmap Ownership and Strategy: own organizational roadmap planning and execution.
• Mentorship: coach engineers and people managers.
• Incident and Escalation Management: investigate complex issues during major incidents; coordinate with vendors.
• Strategic Automation Leadership: drive automation and AI-enabled tooling to improve operations.
• Data Measurement: align metrics across the organization to focus on high ROI areas.
• Collaboration and Partnership: align with internal partners and vendors across global sites.
• Technical Leadership: lead root-cause analyses and corrective actions across edge/backbone architectures.
• Business Ownership: manage interaction with hardware, colocation, carriers, and MSPs.
• Communication: keep stakeholders informed to drive infrastructure development.
• Standards Management: maintain SOPs, runbooks, and provisioning workflows.
• Vendor/MSP oversight: assess performance and drive a healthy ecosystem.
• Travel: up to 15% international and domestic.
