Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a Global Mobility Senior Specialist to oversee the firm’s day-to-day immigration, international travel, cross-border work, and global mobility programs. You will lead initiatives from intake to completion, ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment across payroll, tax, legal, and HR.

The role requires 3–5 years in global mobility, strong project management, and experience with Workday/SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in global mobility, immigration, HR compliance, legal operations, workforce administration, or related discipline.
• Experience with international assignments, secondments, cross-border work arrangements, or global mobility programs.
• Strong project management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS, case management, project tracking, reporting, or collaboration tools; Workday and SharePoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee employment-based immigration programs and cases (e.g., OPT, H-1B, L-1, PERM) in partnership with counsel.
• Serve as primary liaison for immigration matters, coordinating documentation, deadlines, renewals, and compliance.
• Oversee immigration and I-9 compliance activities, audits, and recordkeeping.
• Coordinate international travel and cross-border work, including visas and permits.
• Lead global mobility initiatives from intake through completion (assignments, secondments, remote work, repatriation).
• Support international expansion by coordinating HR-related compliance across payroll, benefits, HRIS, tax, and legal.
• Develop and maintain global mobility policies, governance, and training materials.
• Manage program operations, budgets, invoices, reporting, calendars, and controls.
• Create metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor activity, costs, risks, and performance.
• Advise staff and leaders on global mobility, regulatory developments, and process improvements.
