Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Global Mechanical Products & Services team within AWS Data Center Engineering. You will drive mechanical cooling product design, engage with suppliers, and own product lifecycle across a global footprint, ensuring reliability and manufacturability from concept through production and operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience launching mechanical cooling products into production.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems and design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Possess strong engineering judgement and provide recommendations despite uncertainty.
  • Are detail and data oriented in evaluating mechanical systems.
  • Have experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or Mechanical Products.
  • Work with global mechanical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Build trust with reliability, operations, design, and compliance teams.
  • Handle concurrent projects across multiple geographic zones.
  • Explain complex systems clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Support Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis and maintenance.
  • Listen to customer feedback to improve product reliability or availability.
  • Oversee design changes and product improvements with manufacturers.
