Job summary

Amazon (AWS Data Centers) is seeking a Product Lifecycle Mechanical Engineer to own and improve mechanical (cooling) infrastructure products across the global data center footprint. You will work with product development teams, manufacturing partners, and operations to ensure reliability, manufacturability, and sustained performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to travel as needed to support global programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of critical data center or mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment and hands-on experience trouble-shooting mechanical components and systems.
  • 4+ years of experience developing Mechanical and/or Mechanical Cooling Products and launching them into production.
  • 4+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical infrastructure ownership and continuous improvement for mechanical (cooling) infrastructure products.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to understand product facets from development through operation.
  • Support operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure reviews for mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Engage with global suppliers and manufacturers to design product improvements and oversee root cause analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to drive global knowledge sharing and continuous improvements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
