Job summary

AWS Mechanical Engineers are sought to join a global team responsible for mechanical cooling and related infrastructure products in AWS data centers. You will own the product lifecycle from design through deployment, collaborate with suppliers, and lead improvements to reliability and manufacturability.

You'll work with a diverse, international team across engineering, operations, and supply chain, travel up to 30% as needed, and contribute to building scalable, cost-efficient data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with critical mechanical/electrical data center equipment and troubleshooting.
• 4+ years of experience developing mechanical or cooling products and launching them into production.
• 4+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management or related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide ownership of mechanical (Cooling) infrastructure products across their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product development to understand all facets of each product.
• Lead design and qualification work with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Support continuous improvement and remediation efforts to optimize reliability and availability.
• Explain complex systems in clear, concise language for stakeholder review.
• Coordinate with operations for maintenance, failure analysis, and procedures.
