Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the global engineering team responsible for mechanical (Cooling) infrastructure products in AWS data centers.

You will own and continuously improve products, collaborating with development teams and suppliers to ensure reliability and manufacturability. This role requires hands-on mechanical engineering experience, knowledge of data-center equipment, and the ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and some international).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical components and systems in data centers.
  • Experience with mechanical cooling products and data-center equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical infrastructure support to AWS data centers.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to understand product facets during development and testing.
  • Own the product through its operational life and drive continuous improvement at scale.
  • Lead design changes with suppliers and contract manufacturers where applicable.
  • Support remediation efforts and root-cause analysis for equipment issues.
