Job summary

Amazon's AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own and improve mechanical (Cooling) infrastructure products across our global data-center footprint.

You will work with suppliers, lead product lifecycle improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and availability of critical cooling systems. Travel to support global deployments is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical components and systems in data-center environments.
• 4+ years of experience developing Mechanical or Mechanical Cooling products.
• 4+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations with engineering judgment amid uncertainty.
• Collaborate with global mechanical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Build trust with reliability, operations, design, and compliance teams.
• Support operations including failure mode analysis, maintenance, and SOP reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement for AWS mechanical products at scale.
