Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to own mechanical infrastructure products in our data centers. You will work with a global team to develop, test, and sustain mechanical (Cooling) systems, ensuring reliability and manufacturability across locations.

Role requires hands-on design and lifecycle management, collaboration with suppliers, and strong problem-solving skills to drive improvements at scale. Travel ~30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers.
• 4+ years developing mechanical/cooling products and launching them into production.
• 4+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical infrastructure support to AWS data centers.
• Collaborate with the product development team to understand all facets of each product as they are developed and tested.
• Have engineering ownership of the product through its operational life.
• Be a global go-to engineering resource for Mechanical AWS products deployed in data centers.
• Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to design product improvements and oversee root cause analysis.
• Contribute to a cycle of continuous improvement at a global scale.
