Job summary

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to serve as an expert on the DoWEA Team. The candidate will perform on-site facility condition assessments of mechanical systems across multiple U.S.

military installations overseas and contribute to asset management and SRM budgeting. Required BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET) with 5+ years in engineering assessments; PE license or EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating complex mechanical systems in institutional or commercial settings.
• Familiarity with SMS BUILDER methodology and direct-rating inspection methods.
• Active PE license or EIT/FE credentials are preferred.
• Ability to coordinate logistics and perform fieldwork overseas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site facility condition assessments of HVAC, boiler/chiller plants, piping, EMCS, and hydronics.
• Catalog equipment data and enter into E-SMS within 90 days of visits.
• Verify and update equipment barcoding/QR codes for major systems.
• Support FCAR development with photographic documentation and justifications.
• Assist in executing Triennial and Out-of-Cycle Task Orders on the DoWEA program.
