Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a detail‑oriented Billing Specialist to maintain data integrity and ensure accurate client billing. You will support timely shipment processing, track charges, and uphold SOPs and KPIs while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires mainframe proficiency, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Local applicants only; shifts 15:00–23:59, Mon–Fri; hourly range $22–$30 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proficient with mainframe software applications and data entry
• Knowledge of export compliance and related regulations
• Ability to work in a high‑stress environment
• Willing to work overtime
• Certifications in export/import areas are highly valued

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely shipment process flow
• Provide proactive and clear communication to internal and external customers
• Review files and complete billing with accuracy and timeliness
• Review invoices and send charges
• Manage destination charges and special billing procedures
• Monitor accounting and billing reports
• Escalate billing discrepancies and exceptions
