Expeditors is seeking an experienced billing and accounting specialist to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely, auditable billing. You will manage data entry, monitor charges, and resolve discrepancies while upholding regulatory compliance.

The role requires proficiency with mainframe systems, strong 10-key skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Local California applicants preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with various software applications (mainframe systems).
• 10-key by touch.
• Able to identify process improvements and propose solutions to management.
• Thrives in high‑stress environments and meets tight deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Deep understanding of Export Compliance.
• Certifications listed include: Certified Export Clearance Specialist, Dangerous Goods – Ground and Air, IATA/FIATA, Customs Broker, Sales Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, timely billing with audit-ready records.
• Process and post financial transactions promptly.
• Monitor and review billing/invoicing in line with SOPs and KPIs.
• Provide clear communication with internal/external customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
• Support cross-training to cover team needs.
