Staffmark is seeking a Japanese bilingual Logistics Coordinator in Los Angeles to manage daily import operations with overseas offices and coordinate shipments, documents, and communications. The role emphasizes timely freight movement, data entry accuracy, and warehouse support, including inventory checks and basic cargo handling when needed.

The position requires Japanese-English bilingual proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Japanese and English with professional reading and writing ability.

• Must have a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicle when required.
• Basic computer skills including email and data entry.
• Experience in import and logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily shipments ensuring timely processing.
• Submit required documents from overseas offices to Customs Brokers promptly.
• Track customs clearance and follow up with agencies as needed.
• Notify customers of delays, holds, or irregularities.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Assist warehouse operations and basic cargo handling as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels in warehouse, cooler, or freezer facilities.
• Prepare and issue freight quotes with competitive pricing.
• Maintain records of shipments, deliveries, fees, and system updates.
• Assist with vendor invoice review and customer billing per fee schedules.
• Build positive customer relationships through timely communication.
• Stay informed about related regulations and share updates with customers.
• Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned.
