Pasona N A, Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations professional to oversee import/export activities, coordinate domestic transportation, and manage related administrative tasks.

This role requires handling documents, communicating with customers and partners, and ensuring timely scheduling with Tokyo HQ. The position focuses on shipments, rate procurement, and issue resolution, with some after-hours meetings due to time differences.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operations experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
• Experience with international supply chains.
• Japanese language skills are a strong plus as coordination with Tokyo headquarters is involved.

Responsibilities

• Handle import and export transportation.
• Receive and review transportation documents (bills of lading, waybills, invoices, packing lists).
• Coordinate with customers, vendors and partners to schedule transportation.
• Prepare Arrival Notices and Delivery Orders for vendors and partners.
• Check shipment status using internal systems or by contacting vendors and partners.
• Update shipment tracking reports in Excel or the system.
• Clarify rate requirements with customers and Tokyo headquarters; respond within 1–2 days.
• Request and review rates from vendors and partners; discuss with management.
• Gather information from vendors and partners to resolve issues with management.
• Attend weekly operations meetings and meetings with Tokyo headquarters as needed.
