Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Domestic Customer Account Manager to oversee day-to-day management and growth of key client relationships. You will serve as the primary contact for large, high-revenue customers, coordinating end-to-end logistics, quoting, routing, tracking, and problem resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Michigan, you will collaborate with internal teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive service improvements through effective reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• 3-5 years freight forwarding experience.
• MS Word, Excel, AS400 experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• High visibility role acting as the primary contact for larger, more complex or high-revenue producing customers, responsible for the outcome of assigned projects and customized client solutions.
• Main point of contact for clients supporting all of their logistics needs from beginning to end, including:
• Ability to quote and route freight across multiple transportation channels and services
• Track and trace shipments daily
• Able to troubleshoot and overcome operational challenges
• Act as the local point-of-contact for all client inquiries, both operational and sales related
• Provide timely analysis and monitor freight cost metrics
• Work with multiple decision-makers within the assigned account to drive business development through multiple channels
• Adhere to TSA and other government regulatory compliance standards with regards to booking, routing of all air, ground and sea cargo
• Achieve service goals by working with various AIT internal groups to develop, implement and monitor logistic metrics
• Work with the client on any and all reporting requests
• Responsible for development and updating SOPs for various business segments
• All other duties as needed
