Job summary

Fragomen in Detroit seeks a Business Immigration Consultant to perform substantive client-facing tasks and manage immigration filings. You will gather documents, draft petitions, and monitor case progress across government agencies, using case management tools.

The role emphasizes proactive client communication and collaboration with teammates to improve processes. You will contribute to intake, case strategy, and apply policy changes while maintaining SLAs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or paralegal certificate plus 4 years of immigration experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of immigration experience.
• Strong knowledge of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, proofreading accuracy.
• Experience using MS Word and Excel; team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform substantive, client-facing work including case preparation and filing petitions.
• Oversee case status using case management and billing systems; generate reports.
• Assist with intake, case strategy, and process improvements for clients.
• Draft clear written work product applying immigration knowledge and policy.
• Communicate case status and questions to clients and foreign nationals.
