Job summary

Fragomen is seeking a Business Immigration Consultant in New York. You will perform substantive, client-facing work on employment-based immigration matters, manage case preparation, and file petitions with government agencies.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, plus experience with MS Word and Excel. The position emphasizes intake, case strategy, and collaboration with clients to improve processes while meeting SLAs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Paralegal certificate plus 4 years of business immigration experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of business immigration experience.
• Possesses strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and client processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proofread documents, draft fluent prose, and avoid grammatical mistakes without the aid of AI engines.
• Experience using MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform substantive, client-facing work including case related duties in employment-based immigration matters.
• Independently perform tasks related to case preparation and filing of petitions with government agencies.
• Oversee status of cases using case management and billing systems; run reports as needed.
• Work with clients to perform intake of cases and establish case strategy; propose solutions and improvements.
• Generate clear, well-organized written work demonstrating immigration knowledge and problem-solving.
