Job summary

KLA in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Product Installation Engineer to lead on-site installation and qualification of complex capital equipment at customer sites worldwide. You will drive on-time performance, ensure handoff to operations, and secure warranty start while representing KLA with customers.

You will collaborate with engineering and regional teams, troubleshoot issues, and complete documentation, with extensive travel expected to support installations globally.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Electronics Technology (ASET) or equivalent required.
• Experience supporting complex capital equipment for semiconductor industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
• Secure warranty sign-off on newly installed tools.
