Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Installation Engineer to lead on-time installation and qualification of complex capital equipment at customer sites worldwide. You’ll own installation performance, coordinate with engineering, sales, and service teams, and ensure a smooth handoff

Travel domestically and internationally is extensive; you will represent KLA with customers and drive customer satisfaction from initial contact through warranty start.

Qualifications

• AS/E/T minimum degree or equivalent work experience in supporting complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry.
• Experience installing and qualifying complex capital equipment with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Proficient with Windows and Unix-based systems and general networking concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time
• Secure warranty sign-off on newly installed tools
