Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Installation Engineer to lead the on‑time installation and qualification of complex capital equipment at customer sites worldwide. You will represent KLA with customers, ensuring smooth handoff and successful warranty start, while maintaining high installation quality and documentation.

The role requires strong electronics/optics knowledge, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to travel extensively to support global installations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and electro‑optical systems.
• Experience with high‑vacuum systems strongly preferred.
• Comfort working with computer systems, operating systems, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
• Secure warranty sign‑off on newly installed tools.
