Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Installation Engineer to lead on-site installation and qualification of complex semiconductor capital equipment. You will represent KLA with customers, ensuring smooth handoff, predictable cycle times, and a successful warranty start.

You will install and qualify systems globally, diagnose issues, perform setup and alignment, collaborate across regions, and provide clear status updates. Extensive travel and ownership of installation performance are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years related experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across electronics and optics.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
• Secure warranty sign-off on newly installed tools.
